Broke Is a Broken System

00:00All right. Hello and welcome to this training. As you can see from the title, today we're going to be talking about broke is a broken system. Now, we're going to be talking a lot about money, but this applies to everything in your life. This whole training can apply to everything in your life, whether that's money or your health, every goal you have, everything you want to achieve, this can be applied to.

00:15So, with that being said, as you can see from the overview, what we're going to be talking about more specifically is first the overview itself. The myth of money, the system is the problem. The frame is the lie, the noise is the enemy, and then the review and your action items for the day or the next few days.

00:31So, let's get started and talk about the myth of money. So, most people don't have a

The Myth of Money

00:39money problem. They most likely have a thinking problem about money. So, if you've grown up like the 99%, you were probably raised to believe that being broke means you don't have enough dollars in your account. But the real poverty isn't in your wallet.

00:46It's in your mental operating system. That system governs what you notice, how you act, what you tolerate, and what you pursue. And it's outdated. When you define broke purely as a lack of money, you lock yourself into a loop of survival. You think the problem is external, so you wait for external solutions.

01:09But the waiting makes you passive and the pacivity deepens the scarcity and the scarcity reinforces the belief. Money isn't a starting point, it's a lagging indicator. So there are two types of indicators, leading indicators and lagging indicators.

01:16And

Money as a Lagging Indicator

01:25leading indicators predict what will happen in the future. They predict future performance. They show what might happen. Uh and a lagging indicator reflects past performance. They show what already happened. So for example, a leading indicator is for example whether you are going to the gym.

01:40If you're going to the gym consistently every single day, it's a leading indicator that you might lose weight at the end of the month. Now your weight at the end of the month is the lagging indicator. It basically shows and reflects what you did during that month and whether you actually did go to the gym.

01:49So in short, a leading indicator is the cause and a lagging indicator is the effect. Money reflects your internal systems, not your external circumstances. So low confidence, scattered focus, poor boundaries, reactive choices, these are all the real causes of poverty in all areas of life, not just money.

02:13You can give someone $10,000 and they'll be broke again in two months if their mind still runs the poverty code. So the money in your life is a snapshot of how tightly your system is working. When your beliefs, your actions, and your identity line up, money starts showing

Why Mindset Governs Wealth

02:29up automatically. When they're misaligned, you could grind all day and still leak wealth through the cracks. So it's easier to blame money than to confront your operating system. You think, "If I just had more money, I'd fix everything." But you wouldn't.

02:36And there's proof. People win the lottery and ruin their lives because they never learned how to run money. They never upgraded the identity that could hold wealth without collapsing. So playing money protects your ego and it lets you avoid responsibility while still feeling like the victim.

02:51But that ego shield is the very thing that's actually keeping you stuck. You don't need more money, you just need more mental leverage. Society makes you think money is the root of everything, but it's not. It's the fruit. You are taught to chase money like it's the price.

03:02go to school, get a degree, get a job, get paid, and then you're safe. Then you're not broke. Most people follow that script and still feel poor, even if their bank account looks fine. When you stop chasing the fruit and actually start tending to the root, everything changes.

03:17And that root is your system, your decisions, your habits, your emotional patterns, your self-image. Upgrade the system and the outputs change on their own. Now, being broke is just a spotlight. It shows you what's not working. Stop seeing it as a failure and see it as feedback.

03:33What are you tolerating that's actually keeping you small? And where are your boundaries too loose, your actions too reactive, and your vision too weak? Being broke is an alarm bell, not a punishment. It's a request for you to rebuild your operating system from the ground up.

03:48And the moment you respond to that request, you stop being broke, even before the money shows up. So money isn't just

The Real Causes of Poverty

03:56currency. It's a reflection of how well you process information and actually make decisions. So if you think about it, what does money actually reward? Money flows towards clarity, confidence, competence, and contribution. Broke people operate in fog.

04:04Rich people operate in HD. Money doesn't go to the deserving, it goes to the aligned. Aligned systems always beat effort heavy, misaligned ones. And you don't get aligned by grinding. You get aligned by upgrading your model of reality. So being broke doesn't just affect your wallet.

04:23It infects your self-image. You start shrinking your vision. You start avoiding challenges. You stay small. And you play safe. You fear ambition because it makes your inadequacy actually feel louder. And you protect your ego by lowering your standards instead of raising your skill.

04:38This is how the broke mindset multiplies. Not in dollars, but in diminished lives. Not just the loss of wealth, but the loss of potential. And you trade what you could become for what feels safe today. The longer you stay broke mentally, the more normal it feels.

04:47You start building routines around scarcity, not as a wealth tool, but as a survival mechanism. And you start bonding with others over what you can't afford instead of what you're building. Eventually, you stop noticing the cage.

The System Is the Problem

05:04You decorate it. You defend it. And you call it realism. I don't need money to be happy. The translation of that is, "I've stopped believing I can actually rise, so I've decided to shrink." You are not broke. You're just out of sync. The real goal isn't to get rich, it's to restore function.

05:15If you fix the signal, you fix the feedback loop, you fix the frame. Money shows up not as magic, but as the natural result of a system that actually works. That's the shift. Stop chasing the fruit and rebuild the root. Stop patching holes and actually rewire the code.

05:30You're not stuck. You're just miscalibrated. If you fix the system, you'll get the outcome. Now that you understand this, the question isn't how much money do I have? It's how well is my system actually functioning. And the fastest way to diagnose that is by looking at how you process input, react to output, and adjust your behavior.

05:50Which leads us to the real breakdown behind most poverty. Your internal control system is out of tune. And if you don't know how to fix the loop, the loop will keep fixing you into place. So let's talk about the system is the problem. So before you fix your finances, you need to understand the machine behind them.

06:04Not your bank account, not your budget. The machine is you and the way you think, act, and adjust to reality. There's a powerful model, mental model from engineering and system science that explains exactly why most people stay stuck. It's called control systems theory, and once you get it, you'll never look at your habits, decisions, or results the same way again.

06:20A control system is basically any mechanism that maintains balance between where you are and where you're trying to be. It compares your current state to a desired goal and makes corrections to stay on track. This is how thermostats, for example, work and regulate temperature.

06:36How self-driving cars stay in lane and how healthy bodies maintain homeostasis. The system constantly runs a loop. It takes input, it compares it to the target and adjusts the output and then repeats. So, for example, if your room drops below 21° C or whatever it is in Fahrenheit and your thermostat is set to 22° C, it turns the heat on.

06:53That's a control system in action. So, what most people don't realize is that your entire life runs on these loops. And when the loop is broken or badly wired, you spiral out of control without even noticing. This is where most people miss it.

07:08They don't realize that every result they're experiencing, good or bad, isn't personal. It's just a system. It's

Control Systems Theory Explained

07:16systemic. If your life is filled with chaos, scarcity, procrastination, and stagnation, it's not because you're lazy or stupid. It's because your internal control system is broken. A control system is how anything stable maintains itself. It measures what's happening, compares it to the goal, and adjusts behavior to stay aligned.

07:31That's how thermostats work. And that's how your body regulates temperature as well. And that's how your brain is supposed to regulate success. Input, feedback, correction, repeat. When this loop is off, you drift, you spiral, you stall, and you don't even know why.

07:45So broke people don't lack effort. They actually just lack feedback. Most of what you do, you do without checking if it actually works. You try a new business, you get zero leads, and you tell yourself, "Maybe it's not for me." Instead of asking, "Where's the gap in my strategy?"

07:54You assume failure means to stop, not adjust. And successful people get better faster because they live inside tight feedback loops. They notice when something doesn't work. They

Broken Feedback Loops and Stagnation

08:10reflect as soon as possible. They recalibrate and then they move fast. That's what a working system does. It autocorrects all the time. And that's how you build wealth by constantly refining your process in real time. When your feedback loop is broken, you start operating in confusion.

08:22You don't know what's working and what's not. So everything feels like noise. You bounce between strategies, goals, offers, and habits with no real clarity. And you keep trying, but nothing sticks. Nothing compounds. And nothing actually scales.

08:37The system becomes overwhelmed. No feedback equals no learning. And you burn out from the effort, not from the ambition. You're busy as hell, but still broke, still stuck, and still guessing. This happens in the area of personal finance as well.

08:47You tell yourself that you actually want to save a certain amount of money. And then instead, what you do? You don't regulate from the viewpoint of the goal. You actually go and buy some new shoes, which you don't most likely don't need. And then you ask yourself why you haven't been able to actually save the amount that you set out to save.

09:03When in reality, you never adjusted for the goal. you never adjusted that thermostat. So when your feedback loop is broken, you start operating in confusion. You don't know what's working and what's not. So everything feels like noise. So the broke mindset resists feedback because it's addicted to being right.

09:18If someone challenges your approach, you get defensive instead of curious. And you interpret correction as an attack and not as help. So you double down on failing strategies, hoping something changes without you having to change. The moment you shut down feedback, you shut down growth.

09:32Period. Real control isn't about rigidity. It's about flexibility. You evolve by staying open, not by clinging to comfort. Most of your decisions aren't conscious. They're habitual. You run on autopilot most of the day, and your beliefs are and reactions are a script you didn't write, but you repeat it anyway.

09:50You get hit with a bill and automatically feel stress. You tighten, complain, cut back instead of asking, "How do I build a buffer?" The broke system runs reactive software. The rich system runs intentional software. You don't fix the system by willpower.

09:57You fix it by upgrading the default behavior loops. Systems don't care how you feel. They just run what's coded. So just rewrite the code. Most people don't even know what their system is trying to achieve. You have no clearly defined outcome.

10:16So your system has no calibration point. And if you do have a clearly defined outcome, well then your calibration is not on point. It's like a thermostat with no temperature setting. You'll just float wherever the room drifts. Without a target, there's no correction.

10:29And without correction, there's no improvement. Wealthy people build internal systems around metrics, goals, feedback, iteration. They know what success looks like, and they measure their behavior against it constantly. Every failure becomes data.

10:41And every mistake becomes leverage. Broke systems react too slowly to reality. You get a result you don't like, but instead of analyzing it, you ignore it. You rationalize it or you blame someone else. Most of the time, it's just a bad economy.

10:49No one wants what I offer. Maybe it's not meant to be. This delay kills momentum. By the time you're ready to change, the opportunity is gone. Fast systems win. The faster you receive and act on feedback, the faster you grow. Shrink the loop, shorten the lag, and move when the signal arrives.

11:06If you can out adapt people, you can out earn them. Period. You don't need to work harder.

Why Misalignment Creates Financial Chaos

11:14You just need to work differently. People ask, "How do I make more money?" Well, ask where in my system am I losing energy, leaking time, or ignoring feedback. The money is always hiding behind a broken loop. So, think like a builder. Don't react emotionally and actually diagnose the mechanism.

11:24Move from frustration to feedback, from struggle to structure, and from chaos to control. Control the system, and the results will follow like gravity. Every dollar you earn or lose is a reflection of how well you run the loop. You're not a victim of random outcomes.

11:40You're a system operator. So, the question isn't, "Am I capable?" The question is, am I correcting fast enough? And once you fix the loop, money starts moving. Not because of hustle or grinding or anything like that or because you're working harder, but because you've created a clean pipeline.

11:56Every day becomes a calibration. And every action gets tuned and every result speaks. And before long, the chaos quiets, the fog clears, the signal sharpens, and something rare starts to happen. You stop feeling broke before the money has even hit your account.

12:05And now that your system is under review, let's look at the invisible frame that warps your decisions even further. Because if your lens is distorted, your actions will be too. So with that being said, let's talk about the frame is the lie.

12:20So most people think their problems are real, tangible, concrete. But in reality, most of what they suffer from is perspective distortion. They're not just broke. They're seeing the entire game through a lens that warps every opportunity, limits every decision, and shrinks every possibility.

12:31Realize that it's the way you see things, the way you perceive the world that has gotten you to the point where you are now. Whatever that point is, good or bad, it it has been the way you see the world, your perspective, and your lens through which you see the world has gotten you to the point where you are now.

12:46And that way you see the world will not get you where you want to actually go. It has gotten you to where you are, but it won't get you there. Because if it could, then by definition, you would be already there. So with that in mind, if you just completely internalize what I just said and fully

The Frame Is the Lie

13:07fully internalize it, you don't need anything else. The way you are right now and the person you are right now will not get you to the place you want to be. The way you think right now will not get you to the place you want to be. So most of the time it's just perspective.

13:21distortion. This is where relativity, the same theory that Einstein used to describe how time and space behave, actually becomes a great mental model for mindset and money. So relativity, in simple terms, means this. Nothing exists in isolation.

13:29Everything is defined by the frame you view it through. Speed isn't absolute. Motion isn't absolute. Time isn't absolute. They all depend on your frame of reference. If two people are sitting on a train moving 100 km/h, to them it feels like they're standing still.

13:49but to someone on the platform they're flying by. The same thing applies to money. You feel broke not because you have no money, but because of what you're comparing it to. Your internal reference frame is jacked. Broke people don't realize they've inherited a broken lens.

14:01You compare your life to either Instagram influencers, to luxury YouTubers, to people three levels above you in the game, and you feel like a loser. That comparison creates unnecessary shame. Instead of motivating you, a lot of the times it just paralyzes you.

14:14You think you're too far behind, so why bother? The frame is invisible. That's why it's dangerous. You don't know you're doing it. You just feel behind. But you never stop to ask compared to what. Your brain isn't wired for truth. It's wired for contrast.

14:27You don't experience money as a number. You experience it relative to a baseline. If you go from making $2,000 a month to $5,000 a month, you'll feel rich. If you go from $20,000 a month to $15,000 a month, you feel broke, even though you're still making more than before.

14:43It's not the number that changes your life. is the shift in frame that creates the feeling. So this is why people with six figures in the bank

Perspective Distortion and Broke Thinking

14:52still feel anxious. The reference point is off. They're aiming at someone else's scoreboard. So to change your life, you don't just need a better strategy. You need a better frame. Your mind needs to define success by your values, not someone else's.

14:59What do you actually care about? Financial freedom, location freedom, creative work. You can feel wealthy if your internal scoreboard belongs to someone else. So, until your reference point is aligned with your own goals, every win will feel like a loss.

15:17You'll keep chasing things that don't actually satisfy you, and you'll exhaust yourself trying to keep up with people who don't even live in your world. The broke mindset clings to frames that feel familiar, even if they're destructive. You might have grown up in a household where money was always scarce, so now you see the world through a lens of limitation.

15:28Every opportunity feels risky. Every investment feels like gambling. You avoid action not because it's dangerous, but because it violates the frame that kept you safe growing up. You recreate the same patterns over and over. Not because they work, but because they're what your nervous system is calibrated to expect.

15:42A distorted frame shrinks your identity. If you believe I'm not someone who can make money, then every opportunity you see will pass through that filter. You'll downplay your own value. You'll pull back just when it's time to go allin. And you won't even realize you're doing it because your actions will seem rational, but only inside that warped frame.

15:59So the wealthiest people you know are masters at reframing. They don't just think differently. They look at the same event and see different meaning or even multiple different meanings. A failed launch isn't proof of failure. It's just market research to them.

16:14A rejected offer isn't a threat to their identity. It's a signal to tweak the pitch. The facts don't change, but the way you frame them does, and that's everything. Do you see the error as rejection or refinement? Do you collapse under the moment or zoom out to adjust the path?

16:33The frame you live in is either something you choose or something that was chosen for you. Most people are running on inherited lenses and frames from parents, school, culture, media, etc. You didn't choose to think this way. You just never challenge the defaults.

16:41So, your reality feels true when it's just familiar. Reframing isn't delusion. It's just authorship. You decide what the story means. And when you choose the frame, you choose the outcome. If you want more money, don't start by chasing it. Start by correcting the lens.

16:58A clean frame lets you see clearly. A clear vision lets you act precisely. And once your internal reference point is tuned to your own mission, to your own goals, everything starts to align because now you're not fighting yourself with every step.

17:14You're not fighting for someone else's dream or a dream that you copied from someone. You're now fighting for what you want. But even the right frame can get lost in the noise if the signal is weak. And that's the next problem because your brain wasn't built for this modern world.

17:23And most people are drowning in distraction, not data. So, with that being said, let's talk about the noise is the enemy. So, it's not just the lack of money that keeps most people stuck. It's the overwhelming volume of mental clutter they're trying to process without even knowing it.

17:41Information overload, conflicting advice, emotional static. Too many voices in, not enough clarity out. And at the center of that chaos is a powerful but invisible enemy, noise. This is where information theory becomes a game-changing mental model.

17:52It was developed to explain how communication systems transmit data across channels and how messages are sent, received, and most importantly, how they get distorted. In every system, there's a difference between signal and noise. Signal is the useful high value information that creates clarity and enables intelligent action.

18:07Noise is everything else. The randomness, the static, the irrelevant distraction that clogs the channel and degrades decision-making. In a communication system, noise makes the message harder

The Noise Is the Enemy

18:22to decode. In a human mind, noise makes it almost impossible to think clearly, act precisely, or build momentum. And the broke mindset is almost always signal deprived and noise saturated. It can't hear what matters because everything is screaming at once.

18:31Every day your brain is trying to make sense of too much input at once, and it's fading. You're taking in content from dozens of sources without applying a clear filter. Podcasts, YouTube, ads, books, courses. Most of that input bypasses your critical thinking and goes straight into your nervous system.

18:46You start to feel pressure to do everything at once. Launch a product, build a funnel, start a side hustle, invest in crypto, all while healing your inner child. Eventually, you're not processing signal. You're actually just drowning in contradiction and noise.

19:02You don't know which move matters, so you freeze and you stop moving. You keep researching because you don't trust yourself to act. But the more you consume, the more confused you become. And it becomes a vicious cycle. Noise doesn't just distract you.

19:09It actively deceives you. It creates the illusion that everything is important, everything is urgent, and everything must be done right now. You see a viral video that says, "This one shitcoin made me $90,000 overnight." And it triggers the part of your brain that wants to skip the slow, boring work.

19:23You abandon your current plan and chase the new dopamine spike. This is how people get addicted to novelty and allergic to depth. You don't stick with anything long enough to master it because you're always reacting to noise. You confuse emotional stimulation with strategic relevance.

19:39The longer you operate in a high noise state, the weaker your judgment becomes. You stop trusting your instincts because they've been hijacked by a dozen conflicting inputs. You start needing validation for every decision. You can't move without double-checking, asking around, pulling your group chat.

19:59Every decision becomes slower, more cautious, more diluted. You don't build momentum, you just build doubt. And the longer you doubt, the more you identify as someone who just overthinks or just isn't ready. That's not a mindset issue. That's what happens when the signal to noise ratio is out of control.

20:10Most people don't realize that not all information is good information. The broke mind treats every input as equal. It doesn't know how to screen for relevance, credibility, or context. You hear two pieces of advice, invest in mentorship, and never pay someone for something you could learn for free.

20:20And without a working filter, both seem valid, so you stay stuck in indecision. The result is paralysis. You can't distinguish truth from trend, strategy from hype. And without a clear direction, every shiny object becomes a potential detour.

20:40You feel pulled in 10 different directions because none of them feel grounded. You lose time not by doing the wrong thing, but by doing nothing while you try to figure out the

Reclaiming Mental Clarity in a Noisy World

20:49right thing. Noise is subtle. It creeps in slowly until you mistake it for your own thoughts. Your goals start becoming less about what you actually want and more about what looks impressive or safe or acceptable. You say you want to hit $10,000 a month, but that number came from Twitter, not your own vision.

20:56So, when you don't hit it, you feel like a failure over a goal that never even came from you. Eventually, you can't hear your own voice through the static and you start saying things like, "I don't know what I want anymore." It's not that you don't know.

21:13It's that your signal has been drowned out for so long, you forgot what it sounded like. The fix isn't more input. It's actually aggressive subtraction. You have to actively remove lowquality sources from your environment. Unfollow people. Mute group chats that only talk about scarcity.

21:29Decide exactly what kind of signal matters to your goal, and then reject everything else, even if it's interesting. Complexity is not a sign of progress. Choose one. One idea, one direction, one set of metrics. Stick with it until it compounds.

21:37Simplicity is hard, but it's the only way to build something real in a noisy world. The smartest person in the room isn't the one who knows the most. It's the one who knows what to ignore. Power doesn't come from information. It comes from clarified and applied information and a clean signal that's been stripped of distortion.

21:59If you can detect signal faster than other people and act on it with precision, you win. Not because you're smarter, but because you're quieter inside. And when the noise clears, your true signal finally gets a voice. You make sharper decisions.

22:07You act faster. And you don't need to be convinced because you already know. And once you're tuned into your own internal signal, wealth stops being something you chase and starts being something you transmit. Because once the signal is locked and the system is aligned, what's left is simple, consistent, intelligent execution.

22:22So with that being said, let's discuss what we covered today. So we talked about the overview. We talked about the myth of money. The system is the problem. The frame is the lie. The noise is the enemy. We're at the review right now. And finally, your action items for the day or the next few days.

22:42Strip the noise and tune the signal for the next 7 days. Cut your input volume by at least 80%. That means no random podcast, no scrolling feeds. Choose one path, one metric, and block out the rest. You can't build anything in chaos. You need a quiet enough of mind to hear what matters.

22:54Signal is already in your life. You're just too distracted to detect it. The next one is to build the feedback loop that keeps you on track. Choose one goal that actually matters to you, not one you copied from someone else. And set up a simple weekly review ritual.

23:04Track the inputs, evaluate the outputs, correct the behavior. That's it. You don't achieve the things you want because you lack ability. You stay broke because you don't course correct fast enough. A clean loop forces clarity, direction, and adaptation, which makes money inevitable.

23:19And finally, redefine what success actually looks like for you. Write down whose scoreboard you've been playing on, and then burn it. Replace it with three things that actually reflect your values. You'll never feel wealthy inside a frame that's built to make you feel behind.

23:34Own the reference point and you own the game. Otherwise, you'll die rich in other people's currency and bankrupt in your own. So, with that being said, I hope you enjoyed this. I hope it brought a lot of value. If it did, please hit the subscribe button, hit the like button, and I will see you in the next
